Giovanni Bertolazzi began studying piano when was ten years old. He is currently studying with Epifanio Comis at the “Vincenzo Bellini” Music Institute in Catania. During his studies, he attended advanced piano courses with di Riccardo Risaliti, Matti Raekallio, Violetta Egorova e Boris Berezovsky. He won over thirty prizes at various international piano competitions in Italy ad abroad, among which the fourth prize at the Busoni Competition in Bolzano, the first prize at the IV International Piano Competition in Troisorf (Germany), at Siegfried Weishaupt Piano Competition in Ochsenhausen (Germany) and the Sigismund Thalberg Piano Competition in Naples. Bertolazzi played in prestigious concert halls in Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Germany, Estonia, U.S.A and with Orchestras such as the Orchestra Filarmonica of the Fenice Theatre and the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana.
